          6. He was born in Taylor Co., Tex. in 1905. He attended Abilene High School, and received his B.A. from Abilene Christian College in 1927. He began preaching as an associate minister in Wichita Falls, Tex. in 1930. He spent over 60 years preaching.

          30 of these years were spent at two churches: Central Church of Christ in Houston, Tex. and Manhattan Church of Christ in New York City.
